Balanced Kids is an in-home pediatric healthcare service providing same-day sick visits and comprehensive pediatric care throughout Lakeville, Prior Lake, Savage, and the South Twin Cities metro. We bring high-quality pediatric care directly to your home—so your child can stay comfortable, and your family can avoid waiting rooms, long delays, and unnecessary germ exposure.

Our services include same-day in-home sick visits, newborn care, well-child visits, school and sports physicals, and ongoing pediatric guidance. Families also have direct access to their child’s provider for questions and concerns, without phone trees or rushed appointments. By delivering care at home, Balanced Kids eliminates the stress of traveling with sick children and reduces exposure to illnesses commonly spread in clinics and urgent care settings.

Balanced Kids was founded by Sarah Slater, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC, a pediatric nurse practitioner who created this practice to flip the script on the traditional healthcare system. After years of seeing families struggle with short visits, long waits, and high costs, she built a model focused on relationship-based care, transparency, and convenience.

Balanced Kids operates on a membership-based, cash-pay model, allowing visits to be longer, more personalized, and free from insurance-driven limitations. The goal is simple: keep kids comfortable at home, provide same-day care when it’s needed, and give families a trusted pediatric partner they can rely on.
